A NEWTON Abbot man has admitted two drink-driving charges.

James Walker, aged 40, of Bartholomews Road, East Ogwell, admitted he drove a Suzuki Swift at Reynell Road and gave a breath test reading of 115 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on April 10. The legal limit is 35.

He also admitted driving on East Street, Newton Abbot, on May 6when he gave a reading of 84 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

South and West Devon Magistrates’ Court adjourned the case until June 16 for pre-sentence reports.

Walker was banned from driving pending the sentencing.
