DOG owners can enjoy Teignbridge’s beaches alongside their four-legged friends from tomorrow as the annual ban is lifted.
From October 1, the ban, which bars dogs from Teignmouth, Shaldon, Dawlish and Dawlish Warren beaches, will be lifted.
Each year, the ban comes into force from April1 and lasts until September 30.
‘We are lucky to have some beautiful beaches in the district, and we want to keep them clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone’, says a spokesperson for Teignbridge District Council.
‘Please remember to clean up after your dog, as it helps keep our beaches pleasant for all visitors and prevents the spread of diseases that can affect people and pets’, the spokesperson added.
There are around 400 designated dog waste bins across Teignbridge, which are regularly emptied.
