A TEIGNBRIDGE dad has been given a conditional discharge after his teenage daughter failed to attend school.

The father pleaded guilty at South and West Devon Magistrates' Court to being the father of a 16-year-old who did not attend school regularly.

He was given a conditional discharge for six months and ordered to pay £150 to the Crown Prosecution Service and £22 to fund victim services.
