MAKE 2018 exhibition opens for the festive season tomorrow, November 17, at Bovey Tracey’s Devon Guild of Craftsmen.

The Christmas exhibition is full of seasonal contemporary craftwork by designer-makers from across the UK, running until January 6.

A spokesperson for the Devon Guild said: ‘With a variety of materials and prices this is a great opportunity to find an individual gift for someone special, or even a treat for yourself.

‘There’s also a variety of crafts by Devon Guild members and everything you need for Christmas in our shop.

‘Support UK talent and this popular gallery, which is the hub of the local creative community and a real asset to the town and Dartmoor.’

MAKE 2018 features textiles, mixed media, paper, glass, ceramics, automata, printmaking, jewellery and metal works. Items include award-winning enamel jewellery by Rachel Brown; ceramic bowls by Emma Williams; and sculptures from Frances Noon.

There’s a Christmas Celebration Day at the exhibition on December 1, from 10am to 4pm, with free festivities, promotions, mulled wine and food tastings. And a free craft demonstration by Jenny Amon is on December 15, when Jenny will demonstrate the coiling technique used to create her ceramic candlesticks in the MAKE exhibition.
