CHUDLEIGH Garden Show enjoyed a major boost this year, with almost double the number of entries compared with 2025.

Despite challenging growing conditions, local gardeners produced an impressive display of vegetables, fruit and flowers at the annual event, held at Chudleigh Town Hall on August 29.

The domestic classes were also well supported, featuring a tempting selection of cakes and preserves, while the junior section showcased plenty of imagination.

Highlights included ingenious animals made from vegetables and a colourful display of miniature gardens.

Art, photography and handicrafts added further variety to the show, with entries demonstrating the creativity and skills of local residents.

Organisers said the strong turnout was particularly encouraging and thanked everyone who entered and supported this year’s event.
