THE DOORS open to another new shop in Newton Abbot today.
Town centre development manager Sally Henley is delighted to see The Works moving into Market Walk.
She said: ‘I am really pleased we have finally managed to find The Works suitable premises right in the town centre.
‘They will be a really good tenant.
‘It’s a very popular brand which will attract a high level of footfall.’
The national retailer sells books, toys, DVDs, art and crafts and gifts at discount prices.
It has moved into the store left vacant by Brighthouse, taking over two-thirds of the floor space with the remaining one-third available to let.
The opening comes as a new coffee shop is due to open in the shopping centre.
Another Cup, run by a local couple as a family business, will operate from the unit next to Claire’s Accessories.
Sally added: ‘It’s lovely to have so much choice in Newton Abbot.’
