ARCHERY and axe throwing... just another ‘fabulous’ morning for Newton Abbot WI’s ladies!

Members of the group recently paid a visit to Dartmoor Archery Academy, headed by Gordon Monaghan.

After a safety talk, and instructions from Gordon on proper bow technique, the six ladies each had a go.

‘We all had quite a few goes, and we all did really well’, says Newton Abbot WI president Karen Jenks.

But then it was time for the axe throwing.

‘This time some did really well, and others not so good - we had a go though !’, says Karen.

‘A huge thank you to Gordon for giving us his expertise, guidance and continuous support throughout the session’, said Karen.
