Chudleigh Cannons Netball Club wants to raise funds to erect floodlights at the town’s primary school.

A club spokesman said: ’We need the floodlights to be able to train in Chudleigh through the darker winter months as we currently can only train at the school through spring and summer.

’It would also offer the school a way to have more after-school clubs over the winter and perhaps a base for other local clubs to train on a more regular basis raher than having to leave town to find a venue.’

A fundraising Halloween stall will be in the town’s market on Thursday, followed by a ghost walk through Chudleigh from5.30pm.

On Saturday, November 7, the town hall will host an event which will involve a wide range of stalls including face-painting and preserves.
