Rendells at Stonepark, Ashburton will be holding their next sale on 19th & 20th June.
This auction has a specialist section for Postcards, Stamps and Ephemera together with all the other usual sections including Furniture, Clocks & Barometers, Miscellanea & Collectables, Ceramics and Paintings.
The furniture section throws up a varied range from chests of drawers, wardrobes, and tables of all types to open shelf units and a myriad of chairs. A couple of lots to look out for are Lot 404 - an antique stained mixed wood high wheelback Windsor elbow chair, Lot 325 – a 19th Century stained mixed wood apothecary's chest, and Lot 208 – an antique French sideboard with later blue painted finish.

The ever popular Miscellaneous and Collectables has something for everyone. There are a number of vintage and modern signs including an original vintage GWR enamelled Windsor & Eton railway station sign; other items include two amethyst geode rock samples, an antique figured walnut travelling dressing box with fitted interior and contents, an antique Maw Son & Sons fitted apothecary stand with later partial contents, a large mid 20th Century decorative wooden model of a Chinese Junk, assorted table and other lamps, telescopes and microscopes, and anything in between!

Lot 1599 - Frantisek Kupka: a gilt framed lithograph entitled 'Le Cirque Blanc,' is just one interesting lot in Pictures & Paintings. Other lots include Marion Grace Hocken (Cornish artist): a framed oil on board still life entitled 'The Striped Vase' - signed, dated '56; Martin Dutton: a silvered framed oil on board entitled 'Dittisham, The Dart, Devon' – signed; Sylvan G. Boxius: an unframed coloured woodcut, entitled 'October'; together with numerous watercolours, prints and oils on canvas.
Viewing is on Tuesday 17th June (10:00 – 19:00) and Wednesday 18th June (10:00 – 17:00) and the auction starts 10:00 daily.
