FIREFIGHTERS from Ashburton and Buckfastleigh were called to a car fire in Ashburton yesterday evening (Tuesday, January 21).
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received multiple calls just after 6pm reporting a fire in the moorland town.
Two fire engines were mobilised.
On arrival, crews confirmed the vehicle was well alight.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and small tools to extinguish the blaze.
Each year Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service help around 650 people whose vehicle has caught fire.
Fires are most likely to start when you're driving which can be a terrifying experience.
