THREE friends jumped out of a plane from a great height, writes John Ware.
They survived, and also raised more than £700 for a charity.
Chloe Myers, office manager at the Teignmouth-based, Volunteering in Health, and Laura Parfitt and Jen Viner, did the skydive on Sunday to bring in funds for the organisation.
‘It was absolutely incredible. Though jumping out of the plane was terrifying, it was much less scary than I had expected,’ said Chloe.
‘The views were incredible and it was brilliant to be able to share the experience with good friends. I’d love to do it again one day.’
Jen added: ‘What an amazing experience. It was a pleasure to be able to support such a great charity while trying something new.’
Volunteering in Health supports lonely, isolated people in Teignmouth, Dawlish and Chudleigh through transport to medical appointments, befriending, carer support, memory cafes and more. The skydive was bought for Chloe by a group of her friends for her 30th birthday.
Chloe can still be sponsored by texting SKYD30 to 70070, or contact the office on 01626 773924 for other payment methods.
