A VEHICLE was destroyed in a fire at Kingsteignton this morning (Thursday

Fire control received 13 calls to reports of a vehicle fire at just after 11am.

A spokesperson said: ‘Control immediately mobilised a fire appliance which came from Bovey Tracey. 

‘Once on scene crews confirmed a privately owned vehicle well alight at the side of the road and immediately got to work extinguishing the fire.’

Crews used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera

‘Once the fire was extinguished crews confirmed that the vehicle was 100% destroyed by fire,’ added the Fire Control spokesperson.

‘The cause is believed to be accidental.’
