THE 82-year-old pedestrian involved in an accident in Teignmouth on Saturday has died in hospital, the police have revealed today (Thursday).

In an update to their crash report police said: ‘Sadly, the 82-year-old pedestrian died at hospital on Monday, April 5.’

At the weekend the police reported: ‘Police were called to a report of a road traffic collision involving a car and pedestrian in Dawlish Street, Teignmouth.

‘The female pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Next of kin have been informed. The road was closed whilst an examination of the scene was carried out.

‘Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended and are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, saw either vehicle prior to it or have dash camera footage to contact police, quoting the log number 448 of 3 April 2021.’
