A CYCLIST was injured when he collided with a car in Newton Abbot this morning (November 28).

The 47-year-old casualty from Torquay suffered elbow and hip injuries in the bump in Jetty Marsh Road.

The accident happened at 7am, prompting police to close the road and set up diversions. Police and paramedics attended the crash scene.

The cyclist, who has not been named, was taken to Torbay Hospital for treatment.
