A NEW community project is being launched in Newton Abbot to help people reuse their broken household items.

Residents in the town will be able to take advantage of the new repair café in the not too distant future thanks to the the Cwtch Hub, formerly the Plot Hub.

Ahead of the launch, the Union Street business is inviting people to attend a meeting from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, February 21, to help shape the café.

The project is a free or low-cost community event where people can fix broken items with the help of volunteers.

Saturday’s meeting will detail how the repair café will run, what can be repaired, a chance to meet the volunteers and fixers and much more besides.
