DARTMOOR Search and Rescue received a welcome donation from a group who appreciate their life saving work.

Devon Ramblers are regulars on Dartmoor and wanted to thank the rescue group for their efforts in emergency situations.

The Devon area chairman Robert Woolcott visited the rescue centre at Ashburton where he handed over a donation of £100 to Alan Pewsey, fundraiser for Dartmoor Search and Rescue.

Mr Woolcott said: ‘It is a great comfort to ramblers and all who use the great outdoors to know we have their backing when an emergency arises.

‘It is a great privilege to help an organisation that can help us.

‘This donation is in appreciation of the service Dartmoor Search and Rescue are able to provide.’
