‘The police had received reports of a serious RTC involving one vehicle with a high impact against the central reservation. Initial reports confirmed there to be one casualty who was already out of the vehicle.

‘One fire engine from our Ivybridge station and one from our Buckfastleigh station were mobilised immediately to assist.

‘Fire Control liaised with Ambulance and Highways to also ensure they were attending the scene.
