THE Teignmouth Senior Captain’s Trophy was on the line for club members on Monday, May 25, for the first time in nearly a decade.

This trophy was originally presented by Robbie White in 2008, which was his captaincy year.

2018 was the last time that this title was up for grabs, making the anticipation even greater.

Senior and men's past captains played a Stableford competition and it was David Anderson who prevailed with a superb 42 points.

Next came Taf Pugh, one behind on 41 points, whilst the nearest the pin prize went to Frank Cox.

Robbie presented David with a 25-year-old bottle of Old St Andrews scotch whisky and a sleeve of golf balls- the other winners also received a sleeve.

All the players enjoyed a meal of ham, egg and chips prior to the presentation.
