FOUR fixtures went ahead in the SW Peninsula League Premier East this weekend, including the thriller between Bovey Tracey AFC and Bridport FC.
The Moorlanders saw their unbeaten league record fall at the Western Counties Roofing Ground, losing 7-6 in a clash to remember.
Two other matchups had just one game in with Torrington AFC winning 1-0 at Crediton United and Ilminster Town sending Honiton Town home empty-handed, prevailing by two goals to one at The Archie Gooch Pavilion.
The same can’t be said for Okehampton Argyle’s trip to Cullompton Rangers though as they were on the receiving end of a 9-0 thumping.
Lloyd White scored four, Cameron Webb added a brace and there were also singles from Freddie Ansley, Josh Coles and Finn Newell, the former Argyle man Coles rubbing further salt in the wounds with his goal.
Axminster Town vs Stoke Gabriel & Torbay Police, Torridgeside AFC vs Newton Abbot Spurs and Teignmouth AFC vs Ilfracombe Town were all called off.
Onto the the Premier West meanwhile, Sticker won 3-0 against AFC Dobwalls and Penzance beat Wadebridge Town 4-1.
In and amongst the weather-impacted fixtures, Teignmouth have played five times in 2026 to date. They have won one, drawn one and lost three.
Spurs have had two games go ahead, their league cup defeat to AFC St. Day and the 5-0 loss at the hands of Cullompton on Valentine’s Day.
Looking ahead now and there is a South Devon derby to keep an eye out for on Friday, February 27.
Bovey Tracey will head to Coombe Valley to take on Teignmouth, having won the reverse fixture 5-2 on home soil in early September.
For Spurs, February will conclude with a trip to Marlborough Park on Saturday, the home of Ilfracombe Town, weather permitting of course.
