ANDREW Codling turned in a four-wicket performance with the ball to speed Shobrooke Park to a comfortable seven-wicket win away to Teignmouth & Shaldon.
Codling single-handedly reduced Teignmouth & Shaldon to nine for four.
With Codling out of the attack for a well-deserved breather, Seamus McKenna (30) and Josh Couch (39) appeared to repair some of the damage by putting on 61 for T&S's fifth wicket.
It all went wrong a second time for the Seasiders as skipper Shobrooke captain Chris Ford and seamer Howell Brandwood dismantled the middle and lower order with three wickets each.
Ford’s slow spinners accounted for three batters at a cost of 17 runs. Brandwood (3-14) was even more frugal.
On a miserable day for the T&S batters, only Couch and McKenna got past nine. Four others did not make a run between them in a team total of 95 all out.
Shobrooke had victory stashed with more than 23 overs to spare. Opener Chris Simpson batted through for 51 not out and finished the match by dispatching Couch (2-15) for four.
