STAFF and residents at a Newton Abbot care home say they are taking their lives in their hands because of inadequate access to their building.
Meadowside in Broadlands – originally the town’s Victorian children’s workhouse – is home to 11 adults with learning disabilities. The only access to the home is a pedestrian gate halfway up a very narrow lane.
Having recently lost their parking spaces they’re now frantically raising funds for building on-site parking.
