A LARGE crowd gathered on the promenade at Teignmouth yesterday, Sunday, November 12, to mark this year's Remembrance Day.

Standard bearers, marching detachments, dignitaries, current and former service personnel and residents began to gather around the town's War Memorial from around 10am.

Those laying wreathes soon followed, before a short service.

The event was organised by the Teignmouth Remembrance Committee, which is led by Chairman Brian Hall MBE.
