HUNDREDS upon hundreds came together in Newton Abbot this past weekend to pay their respects as the country observed Remembrance Day.

A procession, which was led by the Devonport Royal Naval Volunteer Band, made its way along Courtenay Street and Queen Street before stopping at the War Memorial, whereupon a short service took place.
