A FORGOTTEN second world war hero, whose family lived in Teignmouth and Shaldon, has been remembered once again in a biography written by his nephew.

Graham Roy Drucker spent more than 30 years researching the life of his his uncle, Lt Cmdr Roy Baker-Falkner, DSO, DSC (pictured), one of the Royal Navy's legendary Fleet Air Arm pilots.

A naval flier from a Canadian family, he was involved in combat in the Battle of Britain, the Dunkirk evacuation and operations in the Mediterranean and leading a Fleet Air Arm attack of 121 carrier-based dive bombers and fighters against the mighty German battleship Tirpitz.
