A TV production company working for Channel 4 are looking for posh folk in Devon who may be struggling to keep up appearances in their stately homes.

Award-winning operators Betty are making a second series of Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners: Country House Rescue.

It is the same team behind Country House Rescue, Shopgirls: The True Story of Life Behind the Counter and Servants: The True Story of Life Below Stairs.

A spokesman for the company said: ‘We are currently contacting owners of beautiful period houses across Britain and Ireland and asking them if they might be interested in taking part in our series.’

She explained: ‘The series is both a celebration of the history of British and Irish country houses and an exploration of what it takes to manage a stately home in the 21st century.

‘By looking at what’s involved in their upkeep today we also hope to tell the story of how their inner workings have changed over the years.’
