RESIDENTS of a Teign Valley village have raised more than £1,000 for this year’s Comic Relief after performing ‘The Revel’.
Records show that ‘The Revel’ has been performed in Trusham since at least 1884.
And this year it raised £1,172 for Comic Relief.

The director, Sarah Maybin, has expressed her gratitude to all of the villagers who took part, both performing on stage and behind the scenes, helping with music, lighting, props , costumes and front of house.
‘A special mention goes to all the younger cast and teenagers Jacob Smethurst, who helped with lighting and stills photography, and Jamie Bird, who filmed an excellent comedy film sketch around the village’, Sarah said.
‘Lastly, we mustn’t forget the wonderful audiences who helped raise a magnificent sum of money for such a good cause!’, Sarah added.
