A striking painting of a girl clutching a huge ice cream on the seafront will be one of the exhibits on show at the Teignmouth River Beach and Harbour Festival.

The artist, Ian Boyd Walker, will be taking part in a demonstration 'paint jam' by urban artists, organised by Voetstoots 2 gallery at the Seasports South West base on the harbourside, during the coming bank holiday weekend.

'I am thrilled that a large wall in our premises is being used for the demo and can't wait to see what the artists come up with,' said Sue Cox, of Seasports.

'I am really pleased they will be incorporating our youngsters' windsurfing club, Teign 15, logo design into the overall piece.'
