TWO more storm warnings have been issued by the Met Office as Teignbridge prepares for days three and four of our Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Yellow Warning covers Teignbridge and the rest of Devon and the South West until 1pm today, Saturday.

The second Yellow Warning covers from Midnight tonight until 6pm tomorrow, Sunday.

Earlier this morning a Met Office spokesperson said: ‘Thunderstorms may affect parts of southwest England during the rest of this morning and early afternoon.

‘Showers and thunderstorms may continue to affect parts of southwest England until the early afternoon. A few places could see as much as 10-20 mm of rain within an hour.’

In a statement issued with the second warning, the Met Office said: ‘Thunderstorms developing over parts of England and Wales from early Sunday may cause travel disruption and, in a few places, flooding.’ ‘‘Thunderstorms and areas of rain are expected to develop over parts of England and Wales during the early hours of Sunday. ‘Torrential downpours are likely in a few places with parts of the Midlands, East Anglia and southeast England most at risk. ‘Further south, drier conditions briefly develop on Sunday morning before further showers and thunderstorms develop over some parts of southern England, Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia later. These may give some heavy downpours with a further 10-20 mm possible in some places.’
