A LARGER than life Teignmouth sporting character has died aged 45.

Andy Tooley came from a well known sporting family, and was a talented rugby and soccer player, and boxer.

His death so young has shocked the town and tributes have flowed in.

He had been unwell for some months and died in Torbay Hospital from liver and kidney failure.

Grieving father Cllr Fred Tooley, a former mayor, and mother Myra, said: 'It was a great shock. The illness came on very suddenly in the summer, and although the hospital did all they could for him, Andy could not be saved.
