TEIGNMOUTH trawlermen rescued two crew from a fishing vessel which sank off the coast at Brixham.
The crew of Girl Rona, owned by Peter Boyne, was first on the scene when the Exmouth-registered 15m long Sarah Jayne capsized two-and-a-half miles off Berry Head.
The Girl Rona's crew managed to haul two of the fishermen out of the water and raised the alarm on Tuesday morning by putting out a distress call which was picked up by Brixham coastguards.
A major air and sea search was then launched in a bid to find the third crew member, who had still been on board when the trawler sank.
