TRAIN operator CrossCountry will run a full train service across Devon today (Monday , August 24) after the weekend’s power outage affected its control centre resulting in major disruption across the network on Sunday.
A CrossCountry spokesperson said: "With most facilities reinstated late on Sunday we were able to operate a very limited number of services from around 6pm yesterday in central England..
"We plan to support a full train service on Monday and have been working closely with National Grid and industry partners to ensure all systems are back on line.
"We would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding during today's disruption."
Customers are strongly advised to check their journey before travelling. Ticket acceptance remains in place with other train operators across the CrossCountry network.
Customers delayed by 30 minutes or more may be entitled to Delay Repay compensation, while those who choose not to travel can claim a refund from their original point of purchase.
