A woman rugby player who died after being hurt in a tackle during a game has saved the lives of at least four people, it was revealed this week.
Lily Partridge, who worked at Shaldon Wildlife Trust, suffered a head injury when she was fatally injured during a county training event earlier this month.
But the 22- year-old, from Exeter, carried two donor cards.
Her organs were retrieved before her life support machine was turned off.
The funeral of the auburn haired zookeeper was held at Exeter Cathedral on Tuesday.
Hundreds of mourners – some wearing rugby shirts – were told that her organs had saved four people so far.
