FOOTBALL fever has forced organisers of Newton Abbot’s tractor pull to cancel tonight’s event.

The annual spectacle, part of the town’s carnival festivities, was set to take place at the Clock Tower from 6.30pm.

But the ‘lack of interest’ in the event because of England’s semi-final World Cup match against Croatia has prompted bosses to axe it.
