THE Mayor of Dawlish, Councillor Lisa Mayne, led the Parish of Dawlish in the national minute of reflection in memory of her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Cllr Mayne thanked The Queen for her constancy through a period of great change for more than 70 years.

‘We will remember Her late Majesty with affection and gratitude and silently give thanks in our hearts for her unswerving devotion to us and to our country,’ she added.

People of the town lit their phones in tribute to the late Queen.

The minute’s silence was followed by the declaration ‘God save the King,’ followed by the National Anthem.
