NEWTON Abbot Town Council has raised no objection to plans to create a new pilates studio on Queen Street.

Submitted by Campion&Co Ltd, the application - reference 26/00285/FUL - is seeking permission to create a Pilates studio at 94 Queen Street, pictured.

The application is seeking change-of-use, though a treatment room for beauty services will be retained.

Externally, the only alteration will be an updated fascia signage, the design and access statement for 26/00285/FUL says.

‘The signage will be proportionate and sympathetic to the character of the listed building and surrounding terrace’, the statement reads.

And members of Newton Abbot Town Council’s planning committee raised no objection to the proposals, the decision residing with Teignbridge District Council.

The council are expected to make a decision by April 22.
