TEIGNMOUTH'S controversial town clerk is going part time.
But Dave Tickell, 74, insists he has no intention of retiring yet, and quipped: 'I could go on until I'm 100.'
He is easing down from his full-time role next year, and the town council is now advertising for a part-time 'town clerk designate' to work alongside him.
Mr Tickell, who has held the job nearly 17 years, told the Post that his exact part-time role had yet to be decided, but it could be as town centre manager or finance officer.
