TEIGNMOUTH’S tree in the Triangle was the centre piece for the town’s Christmas light switch on.
Undeterred by the less than agreeable temperature, revellers gathered in the Triangle to enjoy the pop up Christmas market, entertainment by local music outfit, Teignmouth Sings, and, most of all, the lovely atmosphere and community spirit.
Teignmouth Mayor Cllr Peter Williams said: ‘It was very well attended in spite of the light switch on being billed as a somewhat low-key event
‘In fact, a couple of the stalls had sold out come the end of the night and you can’t ask for much more than that
‘We faced a few challenges but we made the most of what we could do and it went really well
‘Thank you to everyone who made it possible.’
