A COMMUNITY share offer to raise money for a cinema, theatre and restaurant has been extended.
Volunteers in Bovey Tracey launched a £400k community share offer campaign to raise the funds to open a cinema, theatre and restaurant on the site of the historic King of Prussia pub, and so far has raised £100k during the latest lockdown
A spokesman said: ‘We have extended the share offer to give people the chance to own a piece of this new centre for art and fun.’
Chairman of Bovey Paradiso, Stephan Wilmore added: ‘We need to look to the future of this town, and make sure there’s a space for everybody to enjoy and an opportunity for the arts, which have suffered during this pandemic.
‘But this can’t happen until we raise the funds needed, the last year has been a huge challenge for us all and to have raised £100,000 is remarkable.
‘We’ve got off to a great start thanks to those who have invested so far, but we have further to go and would like to invite more people to invest, and become members with shares in this exciting facility.’
