ARSONISTS are thought to have torched a timber storage building and a climbing frame at Teignmouth's Meadow Community Centre at the weekend.

The alarm at the Kingsway site was raised at 1am on Monday.

Both structures were well alight when firefighters from Teignmouth arrived at the site.

One hosereel jet was used to tackle the blaze which damaged half the building.

A police spokesman confirmed the incident was being investigated as an arson attack.
