ABOUT 2,000 people are estimated to have turned out for the Remembrance Day service on Teignmouth seafront.

The chairman of the remembrance committee, Cllr Vince Fusco, said it was the best attendance he had seen in 15 years.

'Last year was good, but this year was even better. The weather helped, of course, but it proves that these occasions are now better supported than ever.
