A REPLACEMENT for the eyesore Carlton Theatre on Teignmouth seafront could be completed in about two years, a councillor has predicted.Cllr Paul Burgess was speaking after a meeting at the theatre on Wednesday to discuss ways of kick-starting the redevelopment of the site, after the announcement that Teignbridge Council has allocated £2.5 million for the project.Community groups, key stakeholders and councillors were invited to the meeting, including the deputy leader of Teignbridge, Cllr Stuart Barker.Several ideas were discussed, and it was agreed that all clubs and community groups and other interested parties would be invited to a meeting, called by Teignbridge, to come up with firm proposals.
