’PLEASE share the love and add a message to the tree,’ is the plea from Jo and the Pet Shop Girls

Jo Gask, owner of Teignmouth’s The Healthy Pet Shop, and her team organise this tree with the help of the other traders, Teignmouth Town Council and donations from friends and customers.

Jo says: ’Come and have a look at the beautiful Christmas Tree outside the Methodist church in Somerset Place, Teignmouth.

’This tree is not only a Christmas tree but a Community Memorial and Message Tree.

’The tree is free to anyone who wishes to place a message upon it.

’Your message could be of love to someone past or present or just a thank you note or just to wish someone good wishes.

’We hope you like the tree, and you will place a message upon it.

’We suggest you laminate your message or put it in something waterproof. Please tie it on tree securely.

’Thank you to the Methodist church, Somerset Place traders, Teignmouth Town Council and all customers and friends who donated.

Jo added: ’We hope everyone will get into the spirit and place a message on this tree.

’It has been another hard year for everyone, and we wanted to spread the love in the town and to remember people past or present or to just say thank you to someone.

’This is the fifth year we have done the tree and we were overwhelmed with the generosity of customers and friends.’
