IN the week up to free testing for Coronavirus coming to an end, Teignbridge has recorded 1,551 cases and nine deaths.

In the Government’s latest figures between March 25 and 31, 1,551 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of -13.2% compared to the previous seven days.

Between March 25 and 31 there have been nine deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test in Teignbridge.

The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports between March 21 and 27  79 people went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows a decrease of -2.5% compared to the previous seven days.

There were 71 patients in hospital with coronavirus on March 29 but none of them was on a mechanical ventilator.
