Teignmouth Library will be opening its doors again on Monday, July 13.

It’s been closed since a fire broke out on the roof on April 19, causing serious damage.

During the closure, users have been visiting Dawlish Library to borrow and return books.

A spokesperson for Libraries Unlimited said: “The fire was a significant setback for both the library and the local community, so it is fantastic that we are now able to reopen our doors.

“While further repairs to the roof will still be required, the library is safe for staff, volunteers and customers to use and we are looking forward to welcoming you back.

“Thank you for your patience during this time and thanks, as always, for your support of the library.”
