TEIGNMOUTH’S Christmas lights switch-on entertainment will be the best yet, promises one of the main promoters.

Cllr Dave Matthews, who chairs the organising committee, declared: ‘We have been working hard on putting a great programme of fun for all ages together ­– it should be a brilliant occasion. Nothing on this scale has been done before.’

Luke Friend, the X-Factor star, will perform the switch on at 6pm on Friday, November 24, after playing a 20-minute gig. The Christmas event will include a visiting Santa and Titan the Robot.
