AN anonymous benefactor ensured it was a much happier Christmas for more than 100 families in Teignmouth and Teignbridge.

The Teignmouth man donated about £3,000 worth of goodies to fill festive hampers which were distributed to the needy.

And around 600 toys given by customers of a Teignmouth cafe were also handed out by the Homeless in Teignbridge (Hits) group.
