Nominations are now open for the annual Teignbridge Sports and Community Awards, which recognise individuals and groups who contribute significantly to the District being home to active, vibrant communities.

Online voting will open in the week preceding the event, with voting open throughout the night via the website and social media from the final shortlisted nominees. Every shortlisted nominee will be in with a chance of winning this award.
Volunteers, unsung heroes, individuals and teams who strive to promote healthy living, volunteering in the community and the environment, across Teignbridge can be nominated at www.teignbridge.gov.uk/sportscommunityawards.
Nominations, which are easy to complete, close at midnight on February 17, 2020 and those short-listed will be invited to the presentation evening on Friday, May 1 2020 where films of the nominees will be shown and their achievements celebrated.
To cope with demand for places, this year’s event – the 41st Awards – will be held at the Dawlish Leisure Centre which hosts one of the largest sports halls in the county and which will be transformed into a fitting venue for the ceremony.
