Teignbridge's motorists will have 16 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A30, from 9pm July 30 to 6am August 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington, junction Exeter carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for resurfacing, diversion via exit and entry slip roads for motorway traffic, diversion via A377, minor roads through Marsh Barton, B3213 and A379 for A38 traffic.
And a further 14 closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A38, from 8pm July 31 to 6am August 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Goodstone to Linhay, lane closure for barrier repairs.
• A38, from 9pm August 1 to 4am August 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Splatford Split to Haldon Hill - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.
• A38, from 9pm August 2 to 6am August 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Kennford carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads and convoy working for resurfacing, diversion via minor road between exit and entry slip roads.
• A38, from 8pm August 3 to 4am August 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Wobbly Wheel to A30 link road - narrow lanes for electrical works.
• A38, from 9pm August 3 to 6am August 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Kennford exit slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion via A38 and A380 to Haldon Chalets and return.
• A30, from 9pm August 3 to 6am August 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Wobbly Wheel junction, Kennford (A379) entry slip road closure and convoy working for resurfacing, diversion via B3213, minor roads through Marsh Barton and A377 to A30 Alphington junction.
• A38, from 8pm August 4 to 4am August 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Harcombe lane closure for barrier repairs.
• A30, from 9pm August 6 to 6am August 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Kennford entry slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion via A38 and A30 to Alphington and return.
• A38, from 8pm August 7 to 6am August 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Kennford carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for resurfacing, diversion via minor road between exit and entry slip roads.
• A38, from 8pm August 8 to 6am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Splatford Split, Kennford to Belvedere cross (Exeter racecourse) carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via A380 and minor road past Exeter racecourse.
• A38, from 8pm August 9 to 5am August 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Ashburton to Dartbridge lane closure for electrical work.
• A38, from 8pm August 9 to 6am August 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 westbound, Splatford Split, Kennford (A380) to Chudleigh carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via A380, A383 and A382 to Drumbridges.
• A30, from 9pm August 10 to 6am August 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Wobbly Wheel junction, Kennford (A379) entry slip road closure and convoy working for resurfacing, diversion via B3213, minor roads through Marsh Barton and A377 to A30 Alphington junction.
• A38, from 8pm August 13 to 6am August 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 westbound, Splatford Split, Kennford (A380) to Chudleigh carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via A380, A383 and A382 to Drumbridges.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
