THE search is on for more taxi rank spaces in Teignmouth.

Taxi boss Aubrey Pitts told town councillors on Tuesday that since the deregulation of cabs there had been an escalation of vehicles coming to the town.

The Station Road rank could not cope with the numbers any more and drivers had to either park on yellow lines or just drive around waiting for fares.
