DRIVERS across Teignbridge have been warned that persistent heavy rain is likely to bring travel disruption today (Thursday).

A Yellow Warning of heavy rain has been issued by the Met office which covers all of Devon up to 3pm.

A Met Office spokesperson said: ‘Persistent heavy rain will continue across parts of Devon and Somerset during Thursday.

‘Coming after heavy rainfall on Wednesday night, this will leave surfaces very wet and lead to difficult driving conditions, particularly during the morning.’
